Sometimes it is our perspective of a situation that keeps us from seeing a glimmer of hope. James 1:2 tells us to consider it pure joy whenever we face trials of many kinds. The scripture goes on to list a number of things that can come of those trials, and more than likely what it produces, nine times out of ten, is something that we aren’t exactly praying for.
But yet, can we still not consider it a glimmer of hope? Because in reality, although it may not be the answer to what we’ve prayed for, it is an opportunity for God to grow not only our faith in Him, but our character as well. So I guess I say that to say although something may not be the glimmer of hope we desire or are looking for, it is a glimmer of hope nonetheless, so embrace it and continue to build on it.
