Unexpected Angles

"...The glimmer of hope we are searching for does not always come how we want or expect it to come.."

I remember one time in my life I was dealing with some really painful dental issues. I was working as a temp so I didn’t have health coverage to go to the dentist. So I was praying, asking God to heal my mouth because I was in so much pain. In my prayers I was listing EVERY miracle in the Bible that Jesus performed. While claiming that if He did it for them He could do it for me. A little while praying this prayer the tooth that was giving me so much trouble, of course strategically placed right smack in front of my mouth came out so now, what am I to do? Didn’t know whether to be mad at the gap in my mouth where the tooth was or to rejoice because I was no longer in pain. I share this crazy experience in my life only to say, a lot of times, the glimmer of hope we are searching for does not always come how we want or expect it to come, and sometimes we have to make a choice to focus on the glimmer of hope of the disappointment we’re experiencing . Deuteronomy 30:19 says “I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life that you and your descendants may live.” I ask you, which will you choose?
